Welcome, you have found the University of Illinois Flying Team's Official Website.
The Flying Team is an extension of the Institute of Aviation and encourages qualified students to demonstrate, perform and enhance the aeronautical skills and knowledge that have been gained through the Institute of Aviation Program in a competitive environment. The Institute Flying Team faculty advisor is responsible for the team and selects a head coach and assistant coaches.
The student members are selected from throughout the University of Illinois through competitive tryouts.
Flying Team activities include regular practice sessions and a competition in a Fall Region VIII SAFECON air meet. If the team places in the top three in this regional meet, they may participate in the National Intercollegiate Flying Meet.
