These pages will give you an idea of what we're really all about. Our diligent practice all semester long is eventually rewarded with... a final week of intense work and practice before our final goal, the regional or national NIFA competition.
You might think that with all of this work we do for competition, we'd be fairly busy. Well, we are, but we also enjoy getting together for more social events too. Some of the things we've done in the past include fly-ins to local air shows. Many of these are combined with fundraising, such as our annual trip to Purdue University for their flying team's Hanger Dance, and our annual Fly-In pancake breakfast at the Chanute Air Museum in Rantoul, and various other wholesome activities.
Individual trips have included rec team trips to O'Hare and Midway airports in Chicago, and many of us meet up at Oshkosh in the summer during AirVenture.
